- Joining us allows you to make a tangible difference in protecting our natural areas. Your involvement directly contributes to the preservation of farmlands, wildlife habitats and prime hunting grounds, ensuring they remain intact for future generations to enjoy. Also by becoming a member, you’ll join a community of like-minded individuals who share your passion for the environment.
Learn or do something educational:
- Every year we host fun events about topics that are near and dear to our hearts. From watching the Chimney Swifts fly in at dusk, helping keep the Kokosing River clean, sampling wine at a local winery or participating in Earth Day activities, there is something everyone can enjoy! As a member, you’ll also gain access to valuable resources and learning experiences that will deepen your understanding of conservation issues.
Have volunteering opportunities:
- Several times a year we host events and welcome the community's involvement in keeping our communities clean and litter free. We have adopted two miles of highway along one of our conservation easements and take great pride in keeping this section of SR95 free of debris and litter. We also team up with students from Mount Vernon High's Key Club and players from the MVNU Women's Basketball team during their annual 'River Rally' to help keep the Kokosing River beautiful. Volunteering allows you to actively contribute to conservation efforts while gaining hands-on experience in environmental stewardship.
